Granite Mountain Riders, Inc., members are proud to claim fame to this rugged landmark known as "Granite Mountain." Congress declared the 7,600-foot high, 9,762-acre scenic wonderland a Wilderness Area in 1984. It is truly an adventure for all horseback riders as they explore the trails among huge granite boulders, pinon, juniper, oak and pine trees, seasonal streams and abundant wildlife.
